The Virginia Festival of the Book

The Virginia Festival of the Book is the largest gathering of authors, writers and readers in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Festival events include readings, signings, panels about publishing and writing, workshops, and facilitated discussions. All programs, with the exception of some ticketed events, are free and open to the public.

This year’s ticketed events include a luncheon with David Baldacci, author of children’s series Freddy and the French Fries, as well as a special edition of the festival’s StoryFest with award-winning children’s book authors Lois Lowry and Kathryn Erskine.
