Picture Book Bonanza
Books of Wonder is thrilled to welcome you and your young readers and listeners to an afternoon event full of wonderful new picture books and the talented people that create them. Beginning at 1pm, we are joined by local author and artist SELINA ALKO who takes us across the bridge with her new picture book. B is for Brooklyn; bestselling husband-and-wife team JACKY DAVIS & DAVID SOMAN, who are back with the newest addition to their ever popular Ladybug Girl picture book series, Ladybug Girl and Bingo; Caldecott Honor artist DIANE GOODE presents her latest illustrated work Ballerina Rosie, written by The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson; local author and artist EDWARD HEMMINGWAY takes a bite out of his new book, Bad Apple: A Tale of Friendship; debut picture book author and illustrator LEEZA HERNANDEZintroduces one rambunctious little pooch in Dog Gone!; local bestselling author of over 60 books, STEVE METZGER shares his latest out-of-this-world adventure in Pluto Visits Earth!; And Caldecott Honor Artist DAVID EZRA STEIN returns to share his uplifting new tale of a smile and it’s trip around the world withBecause Amelia Smiled. Young readers and listeners will love all the great books from this event and will relish the chance to meet the creators of these terrific titles. Beginning at 1pm, the authors and artists will share their books, take questions from the audience, and sign copies of all their wonderful works.Ages 3-6. Sunday, September 16th, 1-3pm.
