Memorial Service for Charlotte Zolotow, Beloved Children’s Book Author
A public memorial celebration will honor Charlotte Zolotow at the Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South, in New York.
Zolotow was the author of over 90 children’s books. In 1938, she began working at then-Harper & Brothers. She moved up to associate publisher of children’s books, after which she ran an eponymous imprint. She retired in 1991. She died last November, at the age of 98.
