Kids Author Carnival 2015

The 2nd annual Kids Author Carnival, a free book event celebrating middle-grade books and readers, will take place at the Jefferson Market branch of the New York Public Library on Saturday, May 30, 2015. The event begins at 6:00 pm (doors open at 5:30) and lasts until 8:30 pm, with a mass signing concluding the event.

The carnival was founded by authors Claire Legrand, Lauren Magaziner, and Heidi Schulz to give young readers the chance to interact with their favorite authors in a fun and informal setting. The KAC offers several activity stations — including book-themed games and mini writing workshops — for children to explore in groups.

This year’s KAC will feature 36 beloved middle-grade authors, including Aaron Starmer (The Riverman), J. A. White (The Thickety), Kirsten Hubbard (Watch the Sky), and Sage Blackwood (the Jinx trilogy).
