A Renaissance Man: The Art of Fred Marcellino
The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art is hosting ‘A Renaissance Man: The Art of Fred Marcellino,’ featuring over 90 of Marcellino’s original works — from paintings and drawings, album and book covers, to the art and text of his children’s books. The exhibit focuses on Marcellino’s illustrations for ‘Puss in Boots’ (1990), ‘A Rat’s Tale’ (1986), ‘The Steadfast Tin Soldier’ (1992), ‘The Story of Little Babaji’ (1996), ‘The Trumpet of the Swan’ (2000), and his book ‘I, Crocodile’ (1999).
