Duties: Simon and Schuster Children’s Publishing is seeking a Jr. Designer who will assist Little Simon & Simon Spotlight Art Departments with design, layout, text corrections, Photoshop imaging of book covers and interiors with possible advancement to position of responsibility for specific titles. The ideal candidate will also assist the department with other work required to keep the imprint(s) moving efficiently, such as mailing, filing, billing, coding of invoices, making book dummies, handling artist submissions, creating/revising mechanicals for reprints, organizing and updating licensor DVDs/illustrator lists/series templates and art libraries.

Requirements: Post graduate or Art School design degree preferable. Must be proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Quark. Must be responsible, hardworking and able to multi-task.
