Brian Buerkle to Join Kingfisher

BRIAN BUERKLE TO JOIN KINGFISHER
Brian Buerkle will be joining the New York office of Kingfisher as Associate Publisher, Director of Marketing on January 9th 2012. He will report to Martina Challis, Publishing Director of Kingfisher, and Geoff Duffield, Group Sales and Marketing Director of Pan Macmillan; both of whom are based in London.
Brian joins Kingfisher, from Marshall Cavendish where he has been in charge of children’s sales, marketing, and publicity for nearly seven years. Prior to Marshall Cavendish, Brian held positions atRandom House Children’s Books and Penguin Putnam Books for Young Readers.
Based in the Flatiron building, Brian will oversee the publishing operations for Kingfisher in North America, including the sales, marketing and publicity efforts. In addition to two staff members, he will work closely with the distribution services department of Macmillan Inc. and the Macmillan children’s sales force.

This will be an area of importance Kingfisher NA.”
Brian replaces Angus Killick who recently transitioned to Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group as Vice President, Associate Publisher.
PROMOTION FOR MARINA CAMBARERI
Senior Marketing Manager, Marina Cambareri, was recently promoted to that role from Marketing Manager at Kingfisher. She has been with the company for almost three years. She will now report to Brian Buerkle.
